CHARVEL Guitars

Born in a modest San Dimas workshop in the late 1970s, Charvel revolutionized the electric guitar under the guidance of Wayne Charvel, the original pioneer of "hot-rodding." By stripping down and souping up classic designs for local virtuosos—most notably Eddie Van Halen—the brand essentially birthed the concept of the Superstrat.

After being acquired by Grover Jackson in 1978, Charvel became the definitive icon of the 1980s shred era. With their lightning-fast necks, high-output pickups, and bold, flashy finishes, these guitars dominated stages worldwide. Today, as part of the Fender family, Charvel continues to honor its heritage by crafting high-performance instruments that seamlessly blend a timeless vintage look with uncompromising modern playability.
